ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
MONDAY, MARCH 23
William A. Campbell, 53, of 1361 N. 35th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and two counts of domestic battery, subsequent on or about March 22 by East St. Louis police. Campbell allegedly, in committing a domestic battery, knowingly strangled Merinda J. Quarles-Watson, a family/household member, in that said defendant placed his hands around the neck of Merinda J. Quarles-Watson, and applied pressure, thereby intentionally impeding the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of Merinda J. Quarles-Watson; knowingly made physical contact with Merinda J. Quarles-Watson, a family/household member, in that said defendant struck her on her face with his fist; struck her about her head and arms with his fist. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on Feb. 22, 2013.
Shaun R. Jefferson, 36, of 26 N. Williams St., Cottage Hills, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID card and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about March 22 by Belleville police. Jefferson allegedly, possessed a firearm, a .38 Special revolver, within this state, while FOID, previously issued in his name by the Department of State Police was revoked; knowingly carried in a vehicle a .38 special revolver at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, and defendant was engaged in a misdemeanor violation of the Cannabis Control Act.
Cody L. Jordan, 23, of 21 Stratford Way, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on or about March 22 by Belleville police. Jordan allegedly, entered into the dwelling place of J.J., located in the 200 block of South Church St., Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
Fred W. Williams Jr., 49, of 501 N. 40th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while driver’s license is suspended, subsequent on or about March 23 by Fairview Heights police. Williams allegedly, drove a blue 1990 Ford F150 on Illinois Route 161 in Fairview Heights, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant’s driving privileges were suspended.
Stephen T. Reichelt, 25, of 630 Aladar Drive, O’Fallon, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis on or about March 22 by Fairview Heights police. Reichelt allegedly, possessed more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
