Collinsville High School students to compete for $75K, other prizes

Devin Harris and Dylan Hall, of Collinsville High School, will travel to Los Angeles this month to compete for $75,000 and other prizes.

From May 14-19, the students will take part in the the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. They qualified for the competition by earning the top award at the Regional Science and Engineering Research Challenge at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

At the regional competition, Devin and Dylan were also awarded ASM Materials Education Foundation’s most outstanding and best in the category of engineering sciences.

The top prize at the upcoming competition is $75,000, but Devin and Dylan could also win a visit to India or China, among other opportunities.
