Here’s where you can watch O’Fallon students compete on TV quiz show

The O’Fallon Township High School scholar bowl team was featured in the championship match of a Southern Illinois student quiz show, which metro-east residents can watch starting Sunday.

The O’Fallon students competed against Carbondale on “Scholastic Hi-Q,” WSIU Public Television’s quiz show. It is produced by Southern Illinois University Carbondale students.

The half-hour episode will air at 5 p.m. Sunday on channel 8 for DirecTV satellite users. There will be a repeat broadcast at 9:30 a.m. July 9. The episode will also be available online at watch.wsiu.org after it airs Sunday.

“Scholastic Hi-Q” is a single elimination competitive tournament featuring scholar bowl teams from more than 30 area high schools, according to a news release. Team members answer questions on a variety of topics, including art, geography, history, literature, math, music and science.
