Why are you running and why should you be nominated? I am running because our current board member has been absent and done nothing for the district. The county clean sweep program is just one example of available services offered by the county that directly benefits the residents. If elected I will work to bring programs to our district I have been a first responder for 35 years serving the public I would consider it a privilege to represent the 13th district on the county board.

What is the most important issue facing your county and how would you handle it? I think financial stability and balancing services is a major concern for any government body. Uncertainty with state reimbursements and past talks of taking a share of the local governments sales tax revenue is a major concern. We need to maintain services in a cost effective way and be vigilant of how our collected tax dollars are spent.

What other issues do you want to focus on as a county board member? How would you approach those issues? I think a county board member has a responsibility to not only represent the individual citizens of the district but work with the other taxing bodies located in the district as well. That could be municipalities, townships, fire districts etc. If elected that is what I intend to do get input on how county actions could affect other agencies and try to get agencies to work together as partners instead of opponents. Sometimes intergovernmental agreements between taxing bodies can result in better services at a lower cost.
