The Illinois 12th Congressional District race is expected to be a toss-up election on Nov. 6. The race features U.S. Rep. Mike Bost, R-Murphysboro, Democratic nominee Brendan Kelly, of Swansea, and Green Party nominee Randy Auxier, of Murphsyboro.
At the University of Illinois, students formed a line up a staircase waiting to vote on November 5, 2018. The same day, a long line snaked around a downtown Chicago block on the eve of the midterm elections as people waited to vote.
The Illinois 13th Congressional District race features three-term incumbent Rodney Davis, a Republican, and challenger Betsy Dirksen Londrigan a Democrat. The district includes Edwardsville, Springfield, Bloomington and Champaign.
