In our used to be great state of Illinois I frequently read newspaper articles reminding me of how our legislators have no clue related to financial common sense.
They manage to develop legislation that has no funding source, unfunded. If our federal government legislated unfunded programs, our state legislators are the first to complain. Are they aware our state is in a financial crisis? If not, they fit the category of “dumber than a box of rocks,” actually the rocks have a purpose in our universe.
If our legislators applied as much effort to alleviate the budget crisis as they do making it worse, we may be at least a better state of Illinois.
