Fairview Heights Area Food Pantry was once again a grateful recipient of food from the annual Boy Scout Food Drive. An estimated 20,000 items were counted, shelved and crated by volunteers from the pantry and students from Belleville East and Winstanley Baptist. The Boy Scout drive is critical to our being able to help feed the growing number of families in our community who find themselves needing our assistance. We are so thankful for the help they provide every year.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the City of Fairview Heights for finding a location for our pantry in the City Hall. Mayor Kupsky and his employees have made our transition very smooth. We received help from many residents and friends of the pantry. Thanks also to Klein Appliance who moved our freezers and refrigerators and Lowe’s to helped us with shelving.
We wish to thank all the other churches, schools and organization that have brought in great quantities of food this past year. Please continue to support your local food pantries during this coming year.
