In that Nurse Appreciation Week ranges from May 6 to May 13, it is only appropriate that nurses be recognized, honored and respected for their line of work and all that they do.
One nurse recently said, “Nursing is not for everyone. It takes a very strong, intelligent and compassionate person to take on the ills of the world with passion and purpose and work to maintain the health and well being of the planet. No wonder we’re exhausted at the end of the day.”
A profession is not merely what brings home a paycheck. It is what you were put on Earth to do with such passion and intensity that it becomes spiritual in calling. Nursing is a proud profession with a noble calling. Lest we forget and let us extend respectful recognition.
