On April 7, Triad School District voters will be asked to vote on a proposal by district leaders to raise property taxes. If passed, this will be a big increase in residents’ tax bill.
People should take a look at their last tax bill and see how much of it already goes to the district. How much more are people willing to pay?
They say the state is only paying 89 percent of the money the district is owed. If the taxpayers are willing to pay more and more, the state will pay less and less. Until there is a big improvement in the management of our tax dollars from the top down, the burden is on the taxpayer and this country will continue to worsen.
I urge people to vote against this proposal.
