I would like to thank the Cahokia Police for apprehending the copper thieves on Edwards Street.
We called the police after seeing two people entering a neighbor’s house on the morning of March 18. Within three minutes the police showed up including the K-9 unit and both subjects were caught in the act of stealing the copper pipes in the basement.
Crime in our area has declined dramatically the last couple of years. We see more police patrolling the city and I believe it has helped keep crime down. Thank you to Police Chief Jimmy Jones and Mayor Gary Cornwell for working to get our village in shape once again.
