My wife, Suzy, and I are writing to share our enthusiastic support for Donna Johnson, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, for District 203 School Board.
O’Fallon Township High School is very fortunate to have this high caliber and dedicated individual running as a candidate. Donna has a daughter at OTHS and another daughter who will attend OTHS this fall. Her commitment to District 203 goes far beyond her interests in her own children.
Donna cares deeply about the quality of education for all students, attending many of the school board meetings and participating in the OTHS cheerleading organization. She is a passionate advocate for all of the students, families, teachers and administrators throughout the district. Whether she is re-examining the school calendar, addressing new curriculum requirements and changes, maintaining our schools’ educational excellence under a strict fiscal regimen, or determining discipline actions, her commitment is unwavering.
We have had the good fortune to be Donna’s neighbors for the past eight years and know her to be an excellent listener and parent who fully considers options before making important decisions. She continues to live the Air Force’s core values: Integrity, service before self and excellence in all she does. Those are the qualities/values we expect in our school board members.
