Letters to the Editor

Congratulations, America — we live in a time with what may be the most corrupt and dishonest Supreme Court in this country’s history. The Judicial Branch has now deemed the Legislative Branch to be irrelevant.

Thanks to Justice Roberts and the liberal judges on the court, any written law, or written contract for that matter, has been ruled to be worthless. Any judge can now interpret a law to mean whatever they choose. A precedent has been set. Any judge can now look at a law and say: “The law may say A, B and C, but I think that they meant to say X, Y and Z.”

If our wonderful president wants to stay in office, the court could declare: “Yes, the 22nd amendment does state that no one shall be elected to the office of president more than twice, but we believe they meant to say that someone can be elected more if they really want to be president.” Or worse, the court can rule that: “Yes, the 2nd amendment does say that the “right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed,” but the court believes that the law was written to only apply to uniformed militia.

We no longer live in a country with a government “of, by and for the people.” We are at the mercy of a few elitists in Washington, one megalomaniac and nine people in robes who are unelected and accountable to no one.
