When my late father retired in 1985, all he got for a pension was $175.04 a month and his small Social Security check. He never got a COLA increase annually nor did he get any other benefits. He had to pay his fair share for family medical benefits while working.
This is why I have no use for politicians, unions, most government employees and teachers. They all want 100 percent of their medical benefits paid from the taxpayers and this is wrong. There should not be a COLA for pensions.
Cahokia Mayor Curtis McCall Jr., you are just a mayor and you are delusional to call yourself a “president.” Your firing of the village union employees and food pantry director Christina Walker is illegal. Where is your hard evidence and the investigation report of her supposedly wrong-doings.
It’s all political revenge because they probably didn’t support you. Cahokia resident village attorney Bob Sprague is going to laugh all the way to the bank at your expense from litigation for these illegal firings.

County board chairman Mark Kern, what you and your cronies on the board did refinancing the bonds on this debacle (MidAmerica Airport) was just blatant incompetence.
Residents of St. Clair County, if you want to continue to live under this corruption and dictatorship from up here in Belleville, fine. I’m fighting back against the corruption for myself. I don’t care who I have to call to get things going. I’m fed up with it.
