In the afterglow of another 4th of July, let us remember what the real reason is that we celebrate the holiday. As our nation’s founders signed that treaty so many years ago, they were looking for the good of our country and the welfare of the people of the United States.
With that, they looked to the “laws of nature and of nature’s God,” and to the unalienable rights of men given by their creator. Which brings me to, why are there so many problems in our country today?
We want to take prayer out of the schools and almost anywhere else, if someone complains. What about the ones who want prayer? Doesn’t it offend you? Take, “In God we trust,” off the money, what do you want in its place, a Swastika?
It is also a time to give thanks to our veterans, the backbone of our nation. Where would we be without them? No matter what the sacrifices, they were there to serve our country, their wives, at home, praying for their safe return.

America, we are still at war. Support our troops at home and abroad. They still serve our country and they are proud of Old Glory.
And, yes, God bless our police officers, firefighters and EMTs who serve and protect. I read a T-shirt a gentleman was wearing, it said, “Need Help, Call A Lawyer.” I pray he never needs help and that he is immortal.
