I want to add the Belleville Public Library to Mary Lu Bretsch’s accolades about the O’Fallon and Fairview Heights public libraries Oct. 17 in the BND.
I have been a consistent patron of the Belleville Library’s West Branch during the 12 years I’ve lived in Belleville. I tend to read book reviews in magazines, newspapers and online, and request those I’m interested in reading. I then receive an e-mail telling me when the books become available, with newer books and best-sellers taking a little longer.
The staff is efficient, friendly and informative. When necessary, mothers seem to monitor their children on a timely basis, and I’ve never encountered a problem with noise when visiting. I’m sure the Main Branch of the Belleville Public Library is equally efficient and comfortable.
