Letters to the Editor

The way Alderman Hazel talked to the citizens Monday, Oct. 19, was very disrespectful and out of the character for a city alderman. I would hope that in the next meeting Alderman Hazel will make a public apology to the citizens, which would be the proper action for a public committee member.

Alderman Hazel should set an example for the public, especially when the mayor is always preaching the words of the month. This month’s word is Responsibility; a willingness to be accountable for your own actions without blaming others. It is a shame that the public needs to set the example of good behavior for our committee members to follow during these meetings. Maybe our city officials should follow the public’s actions and conduct themselves in a respectable manner.
