On Thanksgiving Day, members of the Citizens for the Community Thanksgiving Meal and I prepared a meal for the second year to serve 200 citizens from the O’Fallon and Shiloh communities, who, for whatever reason, had the need to join us. This would not have been possible if it was not for the generosity and support of the City of O’Fallon, Village of Shiloh and O’Fallon Township, who also helped us get the word out.
I wish to thank all of the civic organizations, businesses within the community, churches and individuals who helped by the giving of food and monetary donations. I also wish to thank Faith Lutheran Church, which allowed us to use their kitchen and fellowship hall to host the event.
But most importantly, I wish to thank all of the volunteers who came out to cook, setup, serve and clean up. The number of people giving of their time was truly amazing.
After it was all said and done, the committee was able to donate the cooked food to a crisis center that day and give the remaining canned goods and donated supplies and monetary funds to the local food pantries.

There is not enough words to thank everyone involved because this event would not have happened without everyone helping. Thanks to all of you.
