Kind stranger paid for meal

The strangest thing happened to my wife and I at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Shiloh on Jan. 2 about 5:30 p.m. We were finishing our meal and I was waiting for the waitress to bring our check. She soon came with the message that when we were finished eating we could leave. Someone had paid for our meal. Who or why she didn’t know. I asked her several times, but she had no idea and that the people had left.

We would sincerely like to thank these people, whoever they are. Nothing like this has ever happened to us before.

I was in the Navy from February 1954 to December 1957 and I do wear my Navy cap which I am proud of. If you ever see a Navy cap with USS Johnson DD821 on it, that’s me.
