Letters to the Editor

Freedom exists if you want to keep it

Our Constitution was established to ensure permanent freedom of the American people, not to provide guidelines for management of the people by the government. The American people will decide the destiny of America. It’s sobering to think that the next election will decide if we remain free or do what the government tells us what to do.

Jefferson and Jay studied history and noticed how many free societies became subject to brutal tyranny in a short period, because people were not paying attention or simply refused to believe that their freedom was in jeopardy. Freedom only comes along only once for each generation. We have our freedoms only because we haven’t been quitters.

We can’t afford a third Obama term. Freedom is a fragile thing, fight for it!
