Generosity saved Christmas

On Dec. 23, a home was broken into in northwest Belleville and a TV and PlayStation 4 was removed from this home. The family was scared, saddened and violated.

But thanks to Officer Paul Anderson, his family, and the Belleville Police Department, $600 was raised in two days and these items were replaced with help from Best Buy in Fairview Heights.

The family was overcome with joy from the generosity.

I’d like to thank everyone involved for making an amazing thing come from a bad situation.

Scott Tyler, Alderman Ward 3, Belleville
