Letters to the Editor

Responding on several topics

I hope, according to the Robke Rule, that my waiting period to submit a new letter has expired. In response to the person who questioned Dallas Cook’s motive for filing the suit against the three Democrat judges running for election versus retention. Who cares? Dallas isn’t running for circuit court judge and I for one appreciate him taking the time and effort to seek justice. I believe his legal fund is through donations.

In response to Frankie Seaberry’s praise of President Obama. I believe the president is a good family man, but he said he wants to fundamentally change our country to a more European socialist model. But fortunately he’s not been successful. While he got Obamacare through the Democrat controlled Congress, only 12 million Americans, out of the reported 32 million without health care have enrolled and this is the first year for huge tax penalties. The Supreme Court just put his clean air executive order on hold and they have agreed to hear the lawsuit filed by several states on his executive order granting a free pass for some illegal aliens.

While he has created more jobs than his predecessor, according to the Huffington Post, the unemployment rate for African-Americans is 9.6 percent which is again double of whites. Also many of these new jobs are low wage and part-time. Our national debt is now $19 trillion, double of 2008. Finally, does she really think Centreville, East St. Louis, Cahokia, Washington Park and Alorton are better now than in 2008?
