One could argue all day and night about the scratch-your-head logic used in deciding to build the new NGA West Campus in North St. Louis, but please spare me that safety for the facility and employees was a CRITICAL factor.
And please, please spare me the part about not wanting to disrupt whatever types of endangered bats may be at the St. Clair County site. I have lived two miles from the proposed SCC site for over 25 years and I can assure all those concerned that the only bats I have ever seen out here are Wiffle ball bats and they are not endangered at all. You can find them at gas marts and department stores all across America. I even have six of them myself!
Now Wiffle balls are a different story … no matter how many I buy, I can’t ever seem to find one when I need it.
