Barack Obama was recently interviewed on “Fox News Sunday.” Obama’s verbatim statement concerning Hillary Clinton’s handling of emails she sent or received as Secretary of State was as follows: “I continue to believe that she has not jeopardized America’s national security.”
To understand the deception in Obama’s statement, we must understand several key points. Clinton was Secretary of State — which gave her access to and made her responsible for handling America’s ultra-sensitive data. Instead of using government computer equipment which prevents unauthorized individuals from obtaining this information, Clinton intentionally set up and exclusively used her own unsecured system to conduct America’s business.
We now know over 2,000 documents, which should have been transmitted over a secured system to protect U.S. interests, were instead transmitted over Clinton’s private, unsecured system Even more alarming, at least 22 of these items were top secret documents — Top Secret.
Clinton’s exclusive use of her unsecured system is not in question. The classified and top secret status of these documents is not in question. Notwithstanding these truths, Obama is once again willing to brazenly lie to the American public by stating “(Clinton) has not jeopardized America’s national security.”
Let me put it this way: If sending top secret information over an unsecured system did not by definition jeopardize our national security, then I guess we have no secret information which is worthy of enhanced protection.
If we have no secrets, Clinton could have used a public Facebook account to conduct America’s business!
