It’s sad and disgraceful that many Americans don’t appreciate their right to vote. In some countries people risk their lives to vote. I believe those who do not vote should be publicly shamed.
I also believe some sort of voting verification should be required when filing state and federal income taxes, for any person receiving any state or federal salary, subsidy, aid or pension. Those who do not comply should be forced to forfeit one percent of whatever government money they receive.
There is no excuse for being uninformed about the issues or major candidates.
I’ve heard people say, it doesn’t make any difference which party you vote for. That is the voice of ignorance and the uninformed. There is a day and night difference between the parties. Democrats care about the middle class, working people and the poor, as Jesus did. Republicans care about wage cuts for the working class and tax cuts for the wealthy.
Economic history reveals: The last three big recessions occurred under Republican presidents; the best economies this country has seen occurred under Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lyndon B. Johnson, Carter and Clinton; the worst were under Hoover, Ike, Ford, Bush 41 and Bush 43; jobs created Bush 41 - 2.7 million, Clinton - 23 million, Bush 43 - 1.3 million, Obama - 9.6 million; unemployment increased under Ike, Nixon, Ford, Bush 41 and Bush 43; unemployment decreased under John F. Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton and Obama.
