Letters to the Editor

How do you explain it?

In a decade-old box office bomb called “The Happening,” an invisible force causes people to go insane and kill themselves. What’s “happened” to America reminds me of this movie. It’s like a darkness that overshadows the land, creating a borderline insanity among many of our citizens and most of our leaders.

An exaggeration you think?

What would you call a society that slaughters their unborn, and worse? A nation that not just tolerates gross perversion, but makes it the law of the land, punishing those who speak out against it?

If someone were to tell you five years ago that “transgender men” would be allowed, by law, in a girl’s bathroom, you would laugh at them.

Now there’s Gender Identification, via The GenIUSS Group, school districts, Planned Parenthood and others funded by our government, helping our children determine their sexual orientation.

If it’s bred into civilized people to protect our children at all cost, including their innocence, how then do we describe what we’ve become?

It is this: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12, i.e. willingly turning our hearts and minds over to the evil that has existed since the beginning of time.

Rather than getting overly concerned about the coming presidential elections, maybe we should cry out in repentance and for the mercy of the living God.

Donald Moeser, Addieville
