No one else to blame

The bottom line is that people in America get to decide what kind of government they wish to have. Patrick Henry said, “The battle sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the valiant, the active, the brave.” He was warning us.

His other famous quote of “Give me liberty or give me death,” is more famous, but told us, as did President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who said, “History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or timid.”

Both seem to be saying that the American people have no one but themselves to blame if they relinquish the open environment that has improved the well-being of so many of us.
