JaQuan Adams scored a season-high 33 points to lead Civic Memorial to a 69-58 win over Mascoutah on Tuesday.

Civic Memorial (16-8) will play Mater Dei on Tuesday. Mascoutah (15-10) will play Waterloo on Feb. 16.

Waterloo snapped a three-game losing streak in its 51-47 win over Gibault on Tuesday.

Three players scored in double figures for the Bulldogs, including Ross Schrader with 17 points and Jake Wade and Tre Wahlig with 10 points apiece.

Gibualt’s top scorer was Karson Huels, with 23 points.

Okawville dominates New Athens

Luke Hensler scored 20 points in Okawville’s 75-36 win over New Athens on Tuesday.

The Rockets came out strong, outscoring the Yellow Jackets 40-10 by halftime, and did not let up as the game continued.

Also contributing to the win, were Lucas Frederking, who scored 14 points, and Wyatt Krohne, who scored 11 points.

Okawville (17-8) will travel to Red Bud on Friday. New Athens (5-16) will play at Marissa on Friday.

Nashville (20-8) will play Sesser-Valier for the 2A regional title Thursday.

Alton edges past Belleville West

Alton won a close conference matchup against Belleville West 43-42 on Tuesday.

Rayn Tally led the way for the Redbirds, scoring 13 points.

The game was close the entire night, with Alton only leading by five at the half. The Maroons outscored the Redbirds in the third and fourth quarter, but Alton’s narrow halftime lead was just enough to hang on for the win.
