Hopefully, the Cardinals just had some first game jitters. Because they didn't pitch, hit or defend well in the first game of the NLDS against the Dodgers.
I hate the five-game first series because teams fight for six months to make the playoffs, then over the course of two days, it can all go up in a puff of smoke.
The playoffs have just begun, yet the Cardinals find themselves in a must win sitation against a left hander, Clayton Kershaw, who in the past has given them fits.
Bottom line, the offense needs to get over its southpaw phobia and give co-ace Adam Wainwright something to work with. If St. Louis can win tonight -- at a much more reasonable hour for the television audience, they can still come home for the weekend with a chance to take control of this series.
If not... Well, I don't want to think about that...
