The Reds were apparently impressed with what they saw when former Cardinals closer Jason Isringhausen threw for manager Dusty Baker and general manager Walt Jocketty.
According to multiple reports, they offered Izzy a contract on the spot. He hasn't signed it yet while he continues to mull his options. Isringhausen, 37, has reportedly also been in contract through his agent with other clubs including the Cardinals, Yankees and Rays.
He last pitched early last year in Tampa before tearing a ligament in his elbow and requiring Tommy John surgery.
