Lohse makes second rehab start

Rehabbing Cardinals starer Kyle Lohse made the second stop on his rehab tour Saturday night, hurling four innings for Class AAA Memphis against the Omaha Royals.

Lohse was tagged for four hits and three earned runs -- all solo homers. He walked none and struck out two. He threw 61 pitches and 40 of them were strikes. I have not yet heard if Lohse was satisfied with his work.

While Lohse is expected to make at least one more minor league start before his return to the Cardinals rotation, another guy in Class AAA seems to be less patient about his prospective return to the majors.

Allen Craig has torn the cover off the ball since he was sent down a few days ago. On Saturday, he hit a pair of homers and drew a walk. He scored three runs and drove in two to lead the Redbirds to a comeback win over Omaha. Craig's hitting .319 in Class AAA this season.
