Former Cardinals centerfielder Jim Edmonds injured himself Tuesday running the bases after he hit a home run.
It was initially feared the injury might be a torn Achillies tendon. But an MRI said it's just a strain, so Edmonds likely will only miss a few days, according to doctors.
The home run was Jimmy Ballgame's 393rd of his career. It would have been nice to see him make it to 400. But it looks like he's going to fall a little bit short.
