He'll be back

In one of the first moves of the 2009-10 off season, the Astros have retained their thorn in the Cardinals side.





Houston announced the club and pitcher Brian Moehler exercised their mutual options, bringing back the righty hurler for $3 million next season.

Moehler, 38 was 1-0 with a 3.32 ERA in a pair of starts against St. Louis is 2009. He was 7-12 with a 5.50 ERA against everyone else.





Over the course of his career, Mohler is 5-0 with a 3.90 ERA against the Cardinals. That span covers 10 starts and eight relief appearances. He's 0-0 with a 3.31 ERA at the new Busch Stadium.
