In a gesture of respect that is touching and seldom seen in this day of sports being driven by multi-million-dollar contracts, Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki visited the St. Louis grave of former Brown George Sisler while here for the All-Star Game.

The move was in return for the gracious gesture of Sisler's descendants traveling to Seattle in 2004 to watch Ichiro break Sisler's record of 257 hits in a season.
It's nice to see Sisler's family involved in the passing of the record to Ichiro and for Ichiro to honor a player who in many ways was forgotten by history when the team for which he played effectively ceased to exist.
