Tyler Johnson, a member of the 2006 World Series champion Cardinals, has inked a free agent deal with the Mariners.

The 27 year old missed the entire 2008 season with elbow problems and the Cardinals non-tendered the lefty bullpenner.
No details were released about the contract terms -- other than that it is a minor league deal.
In two plus seasons with the Cardinals, Johnson was 4-5 with a 4.32 ERA with 65 strikeouts and 42 walks. Pretty mediocre numbers... But he was spectacular in the post season with a 3-0 record 1.23 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings compared to two walks.
