The Indians say former Cardinals pitcher Anthony Reyes needs elbow surgery to transpose the ulnar nerve in his pitching elbow.
Disabled following his most recent start which was uncharacteristically wild, Reyes will need 4-6 months to recover following the procedure, which pretty much wraps up his 2009.

In eight starts this season, Reyes was 1-1 with a 6.57 ERA. He walked 23 while striking out 22 hitters in 38 1/3 innings.
