The outlook is much better for the Cardinals at baseballprojection.com than it is from the boys at Pecota.

Baseballprojection.com picks the Cardinals to finish second in the National League Central with a record of 83-79, five games behind the Cubs at 88-74. Unfortunately, that's not good enough for a wild card birth in this model. The Braves and Mets are expected to tie with 86 wins and 76 losses behind the first place Phillies just one game ahead.
