Adam Wainwright may have leap-frogged teammate Chris Carpenter as the favorite for the National League Cy Young award after his Saturday night division title clinching win over the Rockies.
He finally got the big game exposure he needed to make his case for the award and, forgive me for saying he came up aces.

ESPPN's Cy Young tracker, which can be seen here, shows Wainwright to have built a considerable lead in the derby for the award. Dodgers closer Jonathan Broxton is a distant second with Carp in third.
Interestingly, struggling Cardinals closer Ryan Franklin ranks sixth in the Cy Young projector.
