Interleague (yawn) play

In an increasingly frustrating season, I have to admit that I am in no mood for interleague play.

I am tired of watching the National League Central pennant race be impacted by the American League Central pennant race. I'm sure most teams would love to face the struggling Indians and Royals. But the Cardinals don't seem to have a lot of luck against the AL clubs. And I am especially concerned about their odds against Cleveland starter David Huff, who is 1-2 with an 8.71 ERA. He seems like just the sort of pitcher that will twirl a complete game shutout against the Redbirds.

Enough of the sideshow of interleague play. Let the teams in the National League decide who makes the National League Playoffs.

Oh, yeah, and I still hate the D.H. with the white hot intensity of 1,000 suns.
