Former Cardinals second baseman Mark Grudzielanek has signed a minor league contract with the Twins to give them some help in the middle infield, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Grudzielanek hit .299 in 86 games with Kansas City last year, but couldn't find a deal when he became a free agent and has been out of baseball all season.
The Twins plan to send Grudzielanek to the Florida State League work himself into shape with hopes of getting him to the big leagues in the next few weeks.
