Fair warning to the Human Growth Hormone users -- and we know you're out there -- a report in the New York Times says that Major League Baseball has finally found a test tht can detect HGH and plans to implement it soon.
According to the report, just like it when MLB rolled out steroid testing a few years ago, HGH testing will begin in the minor leagues and then move up to the major league level. Unlike steriod testing, which requires a urine sample, HGH testing requires a blood test -- something the MLB Players Association has resisted.
With all the negative publicity toward players over steroids, it will be interesting to see how far they will be willing to push their opposition to HGH testing.
The HGH test has already proved itself to be effective, snaring a rugby player in Europe who was using the performance enhancer, according to the New York Times story.
