Cubs outfielder suspended for tirade

Need another reason not to like the Cubs?

Me neither.

Still it is worth noting that new Wee Bear Milton Bradley earned himself a two-game suspension for his outburst Thursday after striking out with the bases loaded. It was his first at bat as a Cub at Wrigley Field.

Bradley, long and widely known as a hot head, was the centerpiece of the Cubs off season improvement program. He is expected to add a power bat when he bothers to play or isn't suspended. But all he does for me is underline the point that all losers aren't so lovable.

According to Major League baseball, Bradley was ejected for making contact with home plate umpire Larry Vanover while screaming in the ump's face. Vanover ejected Bradley for arguing balls and strikes immediately after Bradley stomped in disgust and then charged than man in blue behind the plate

The pitch, a 12-to-6 curveball from Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright, was a close call. But when you have Bradley's reputation as a jerk, you don't get the benefit of the doubt very often.

Enjoy, Cubs fans.
