Greene disabled, will he retire?

The Cardinals disabled embattled shortstop Khalil Greene Friday due to a social anxiety disorder and activated outfielder Ryan Ludwick.

Is it the last time we will see Greene in a Redbirds uniform?

Sports Illustrated's John Heyman said people close to Greene believe he is likely to walk away from the game.

Greene, who hasn't played regularly in nearly a month, is suffering from an anxiety disorder that is apparently greatly aggravated by his lack of recent success on the baseball diamond.

I couldn't blame the guy because I am sure I would do the same thing. But Greene likely won't do the Cardinals any favors by sticking it out for the rest of the season so he can collect the remainder of his $6.5 million 2009 salary.
