Cardinals all-time save leader Jason Isringhausen has been activated by the Tampa Bay Rays.
Izzy, who pitched for the Cardinals from 2002 until 2008, is seven saves shy of the coveted 300 mark. He has been inactive since the Rays signed him and invited him to spring training because he was recovering from elbow surgery that cut short his last season in St. Louis.

To make room for Isringhausen, the Rays placed outfielder-designated hitter Pat Burrell on the disabled list with a neck injury.
Izzy will join former Cardinals reliever Troy Percival at the back of the Tampa Bay bullpen.
