Opening day 2008:
Albert Pujols hit an impressive home run and the Cardinals were up 5-1 over the Rockies when the skies opened up and a cold spring rain chased fans home. The game was postponed after a delay of more than an hour and 15 minutes and the Birds lost the rematch the next day.
Opening day 2009:
Cardinals fans awoke to spotty snow flurries and the game time temperature was 41 degrees with a persistent northerly wind that made it seem like a whole heckuva lot colder.
Opening day 2010:
The forecast calls for a high temperature of 81 degrees and sunny skies over Busch Stadium as the Cardinals take their home field for the first time. If they can't guarantee St. Louis a win, a picture perfect day is a good start.
