Former Cardinals second baseman Aaron Miles is headed back to the National League Central.
Miles was traded by Oakland to the Reds for outfielder Willy Taveras and utility man Adam Rosales in a deal that is expected to give Cincinnati a $1.3 million cash savings.
Miles will be reunited with former Cardinals GM Walt Jocketty who swapped for him when Miles was a member of the Rockies. I hope the diminutive second baseman didn't spend a lot of money on white shoes that he'll never get to wear.
The Cubs, who lured Miles away from St. Louis with a two-year offer before the 2009 season, traded Miles to Oakland following a terrible, injury-filled season.
