The Reds will take a chance on former Marlins, Tigers and Diamondbacks pitcher Dontrelle Willis. They've signed him to a minor league contract.
Willis won 22 games in 2005 and had won at least 10 games a season for five years in a row before the wheels fell off in 2008. Since then, he's 6-12 with an ERA approaching 6.00.
I wonder where the pitching rich Reds will put the enigmatic southpaw... I guess Walt Jocketty knows the Redbirds haven't been able to hit a lefty with a pulse for three years...
