Former Cardinals starter Anthony Reyes, who starred in the 2006 World Series but has otherwise had an unremarkable career, has re-signed with Cleveland.
Traded to the Indians in 2008, Reyes had been released following Tommy John surgery that cost him the entire 2010 campaign. According to mlb.com, Reyes has agreed to a minor league contract. Terms were not disclosed.
Reyes is 13-26 over the course of his major league career with a 5.12 ERA. Cardinals fans may best remember him for his four-hit, two-run, eight-inning start in game one of the 2006 World Series at Detroit. Or... they may remember him for his 2-14 season with a 6.04 ERA in 2007.
