Okay... Now it might be time to hyperventilate.
Cardinals ace Chris Carpenter left the spring training game Tuesday after 2 2/3 innings with an injury.
According the club, Carpenter has a mild hamstring strain. No indication has been given yet about if he'll miss time or, if so, how long he might be out.
Carpenter told reporters after he was removed from the game that he didn't think it was a big deal. He said he felt a twinge of pain and decided to come out for precautionary reasons. I don't think anyone can find fault with that during his first start of the spring.

On the bright side, it's not his oft injured arm...
While we're on the subject, reliever Mitchell Boggs also left the game with an injury. The Cardinals say it's his back. According to the broadcasters on KMOX, Boggs walked right off the mound to the clubhouse without stopping to exchange pleasantries in the clubhouse.
For the Cardinals, the hits just keep on coming.
