Here's how some former Redbirds are fairing in their bid to catch on with another team in 2011:
Former Cardinals infielder Aaron Miles seems to have made the cut with the Dodgers, winning a roster spot as a reserve infielder in Los Angeles.
Pedro Feliz, brought in to play third base in the second of the season in 2010, wasn't so lucky. The Royals cut him loose Sunday and on the eve of the approaching season, he's looking for a new major league job.
Reliever Dennys Reyes, slowed by a forearm injury late in the 2010 campaign, has caught on with the Boston Red Sox. It looked like he was in trouble when a deal he reached with Philadelphia earlier in the off-season fell through, apparently because he didn't pass his physical. But a less lucrative deal with Boston will give him a chance to redeem his market value.
Atlanta wanted to trade for former Cardinals farmhand Joe Mather for a couple of years before they picked him off the St. Louis roster. But the infatuation with the versatile Mather was apparently short-lived as he was cut on Sunday.
