As part of former Cardinals general manager Walt Jocketty's never-ending quest to turn back the clock, he has signed yet another former St. Louis player.
But this one isn't one of the stars from the 2006 World Series. It's 2012 spring training invitee Koyie Hill who was released at the end of camp when he failed to make the club.
Hill was given a minor league pact by the Reds and he'll report to Class AAA Louisville.
The Redbirds opted to pass on the light-hitting former Cubs receiver and instead went with Tony Cruz who performed well with St. Louis in an injury call up last season, hitting .262 in 38 games with the big club.
